A versatile actor, scriptwriter, director, comedian, and Quran scholar Kader khan left us this New Year’s Eve, on 31st of December in Canada at the age of 81. He left everybody in deep sorrow. We already suffered a huge loss in 2018 as gorgeous actress Sri Devi left us, public figure Zubaida Aapa, popular for her desi remedies, efficient cooking, and other related services, deceased in the previous year. Kadar Khan’s was in the hospital for almost sixteen to seventeen weeks, battling prolong illness called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a dangerous disease which causes loss of balance, difficulty in walking and dementia.
Bollywood film industry has been entertaining audience not only in India but also people living across the borders too. A number of artists show their talent and make people laugh through their immense skills and passion. Kader Khan was one of the great artists of the Indian film industry who contributed enormously through his devotion and endeavors. He was one of the popular comedians who used to amuse audience without uttering slang words or vulgar content. He appeared in his debut film “Daag” in 1973, after which he worked in almost 300 movies and wrote dialogues of over 250 films. Kader Khan and Govinda both had impeccable compatibility and they were considered one of the finest entertaining couples in Bollywood.
Kader Khan’s son Sarfaraz Khan expressed his pain on media. He said, “We are thankful to everyone for their blessings and prayers”. However, he was also annoyed because of Govinda. Govinda has worked in a number of films with Kader Khan; most famous were coolie no.1, dulhe raja, bare mia chote mia and other blockbusters what are watched by huge audience even today, so Govinda used to call him his father figure. Sarfaraz claimed that Govinda hadn’t called his father figure often when he was struggling for life. Other celebrities too expressed their feelings and mourned on such loss.
Entertainment content in media, especially the comic scenes are not up to the mark today as they used to be in the past. Only veteran actors like Kader Khan had a class and caliber. These old gems of film industry must be given enormous admiration in their lifetime and after their bereavements too, as these figures are a pioneer of upcoming artists, they must be given high dignity they deserve.
